Peggy Sue is a 1 year old Dachshund - Chihuahua. Her story is a sad one. Peggy Sue had been left in a duct taped Rubbermade crate along side a road. She was left in this crate for 2 days in the heat of summer before someone decided to open the crate. She was found inside the crate, covered with ants, fleas, ticks and severely dehydrated. Peggy Sue is about 18 lb and is doing wonderfully considering all that she has been through. We are thankful that the shelter has contacted us to take her into our rescue.
